Biography
Mohammad Jafar Pouyandeh was a prominent Iranian translator and activist member of the Iranian Writers' Association, known for translating works of the Frankfurt School. He was kidnapped on December 9, 1998, by government agents and killed via injection. His body was discovered ten days later in the village of Badamak, Shahriar, as part of the political assassinations known as the Chain Murders.
محمدجعفر پوینده نویسنده، مترجم و از اعضای فعال کانون نویسندگان ایران بود که آثار بسیاری از مکتب تفکر انتقادی فرانکفورت را به فارسی ترجمه کرد. او در ۱۸ آذر ۱۳۷۷ توسط عوامل حکومتی ربوده شد و با تزریق مواد کشنده به قتل رسید. پیکر او ده روز بعد در روستای بادامک شهریار پیدا شد؛ این جنایت بخشی از سلسله ترورهای سیاسی موسوم به قتلهای زنجیرهای بود.
